ਇੱਕ ਫੱਟ ਡੁੰਘੇਰਾ, ਤੇ ਘੋਰ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਘੋਰ ਹਨੇਰਾ, ਦਿਖਾਵੇ ਇੱਕ ਖਿਆਲ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਇਹ ਖਿਆਲ ਏਨਾ ਤੇਜ਼, ਦੇਵੇ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਭੇਦ ਇਹ ਅਸੀਮ ਅਸਮਾਨ,ਤੇ ਅੰਤਹੀਣ ਉਡਾਣ

ਕੋਈ ਫੜ ਲਵੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਉੱਡ ਰਹੀ ਮਹਿਰਾਬ ਖੂਨੀ ਰਾਜ ਪਲਟੇ, ਤੇ ਭੱਜ ਰਹੇ ਸੁਲਤਾਨ ਲਿਖੇ ਕਿੱਸੇ ਅਨੇਕ, ਗਾਏ ਲਾ ਉੱਚੀ ਹੇਕ ਮੇਰਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਫੇਰ ਰੁਕਿਆ, ਫੜ ਲਵੇ ਇਹਦੀ ਲੋਰ

ਬੇਚੈਨੀ ਤੋੜੇ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਬੰਨੇ ਦੇਵੇ ਉਮਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧੋਖੇ, ਕਰੇ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਸੇ ਇਹ ਨਾਚ ਏ ਅਵੱਲਾ, ਨਾ ਫੜ੍ਹੇ ਤਾਲ ਵਾਲਾ ਪੱਲਾ ਉਹ ਖਿਆਲ ਬਹਿਸ਼ਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ , ਰਿਹਾ ਪੁੱਜ ਕੇ ਇਕੱਲਾ

ikk phatt dhunghera , te ghor hanera ih ghor hanera, dikhave ikk khiaal da chihra ih khiaal ena tez, deve asman nun vee bhed ih aseem asman,te antheen udaan

koee pharh lave is dee udd di mahirab khooni raj palte, te bhajj rahe sultaan likhe kisse anek, gae laa uchchi hek mera khial pher rukia, pharh lave ihdi lor

bechaini torhe haddan banne deve umraan nun dhokhe, kare sach nun ikk paase ih naach e avalla, na pharhe taal vala palla uh khial bahisht vichch vee , riha pujj ke ikalla

a scission so deep, its dark in there

a dark so dense, lays some thought bare

that thought so sharp, cuts through the sky

a sky so vast and blue, timid but high.

would someone grab that flying arc?

of bloody coups and the fleeing monarch

were written and sung the tales galore

my thought still paused, to claim its lore.

the wilderness gushes out of its sides

the age it betrays, the truth it decries

its dance is aberrant, knows not it grace

thy thought in this heaven, alas, finds no solace…no place.

I have read the english version too. I thought you had rendered the punjabi to that english version? clarify karo regarding this.

Looks like punjabi adaptation than just the translation. Great effort and beautiful thoughts, thethh punjabi di nazam ban gyee..!!
