Jasdeep Singh is a writer, translator, researcher, and technologist working across literature, Punjabi cinema, and cultural archiving. His translations and essays have appeared in Outlook, Scroll.in, and academic volumes on Punjab studies, and his forthcoming book in Punjabi, Anhey Ghorhey Da Daan — Screenplay and Other Writings, is out in October 2026. He has worked on script development, dialogue writing, casting, and assistant direction for films by Gurvinder Singh, Shashank Walia, and Mira Nair, as well as writing for Manjari Chaturvedi’s dance theater production O Jugni Punjab Di. He curates the Kirrt project and has organized film programs at venues including the Kochi Biennale and Vadehra Art Gallery. A technologist with 15 years on Basware’s Performance and Security Engineering team, he brings a strong technical foundation to his digital archiving and digital humanities work.
