ਚੇਤਰ ਨੇ ਪਾਸਾ ਮੋੜਿਆ, ਰੰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੇਲੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਰੇਸ਼ਮ ਜੋੜਿਆ- ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ

ਹੋਈਆਂ ਦੁਪਹਿਰਾਂ ਲੰਬੀਆਂ, ਦਾਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਲੀ ਛੋਹ ਗਈ ਦਾਤੀ ਨੇ ਕਣਕਾਂ ਚੁੰਮੀਆਂ- ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ

ਬੱਦਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਛਾ ਗਈ, ਧਰਤੀ ਨੇ ਬੁੱਕਾਂ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਅੰਬਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਪੀ ਲਈ- ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਜੰਗਲ ਦੀ ਛੋਂਹਦੀ ਪੌਣ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ-ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ

ਰੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਾਦੂ ਛੋਹਣੀਆਂ, ਚੰਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਈਆਂ ਆਣ ਕੇ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਦੌਣੀਆਂ - ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ

ਅੱਜ ਫੇਰ ਤਾਰੇ ਕਹਿ ਗਏ, ਉਮਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲੀਂ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਹੁੱਸਨਾ ਦੇ ਦੀਵੇ ਬਲ ਰਹੇ-

ਕਿਰਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਝੁਰਮਟ ਆਖਦਾ, ਰਾਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੂੜ੍ਹੀ ਨੀਂਦ ‘ਚੋਂ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਚਾਨਣ ਜਾਗਦਾ-ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ

English Translation ( Jasdeep):

the spring has turned up, for the festival of colors the flowers have collected the silk - but you have not come

the days are longer, the grapes have a tinge of red the sickle has kissed the crops - but you have not come

the clouds have gathered, the earth has cupped hands to drink the benevolence of the sky - trees have cast a spell, on the wind of the woods the beehives are full of honey - but you have not come

the magical season is here, the moon has put jewels on the forehead of the night - but you have not come

the stars have remarked again, in the altars of life the lamps of beauty are still glowing - the herd of rays says, in the deep sleep of nights the light is still awake  - but you have not come
