Eh kudi nerhi ton bahut dardi hai Kahindi hai nerhi aayegi saare gand pai jaayega amaltaas de sohne sohne phull jharh jaangey rukhaan de taahne tutt jaange pankheroo marr jaange

Eh kudi nahin jaandi nerhi aayegi naal barkha leyaayegi saare thand vart jaayegi amaltaas diyaan naadaan ch saava taaza khoon daudega

Agli rutte phull hor sohne hongey hor guurhe peeley eh kudi nahin jaandi

I wonder why self-styled bloggers/editors tend to interfere (to put it mildly) with the original text. For instance the first two lines of my original poem kuRhi te ‘Nehri the present tense is used – …dardee hai/ …kehNdee hai. Discerning readers would see the difference – how the meaning changes in this particular poem by changing the tense. It made me laugh when I saw that the poem is tagged with the category of Women! The fear is not gender specific, I’m afraid. I’d like to quote a short poem by a great living Chilean poet Nicanor Parra: STOP RACKING YOUR BRAINS nobody reads poetry nowadays it doesn’t matter if it’s good or bad

Amarjeet Ji, Thanks for visiting and giving valuable comments. I have updated the post accordingly from ‘see’ to ‘hai’. I did not have original text with me while i posted the poem thats why it occurred unintentianally. About poem being tagged with women, I thought it related to woman psyche . Its said poetry can have diffrent meanings for different readers.Anyhow i have scrapped the woman tag too. Thanks, Jasdeep

Dear Brother Jasdeep: I enjoyed reading your blog. I also appreciate you being sensitive to comments from others. Can you find some more revolutionary songs by Sant Ram Udhasi and include on the blog? Thanks Harjinder
