ਜੋ ਲੜਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਜੋ ਲੜਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਉਹ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾ ਲਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ Read its English transliteration

Source: Lal Singh Dil is eminent punjabi poet. At university, he turned activist and joined the far left Naxalite movement. He ran a tea-stall in his later life. He died on 15th august 2007. English translation from Rahul Pandita’s post

True there.. But in present context, its caste divide that lies beneath the turmoil. The alienation of Dalits from hegemony of upper caste sikhs on mainstream sikhism has given rise to Dera culture. Thats justified Relegious places are for finding solace not for feeling excluded. The sikh militant diaspora has tried to keep its chauvanistic, purist approach towards sikhsim. and so we have seen Punjab burning once again.
